Casita Johanna. Unique Stay for Two in La Viñuela

We had the pleasure of staying at Casita Johanna for a week. We received a very warm welcome; the Casita is fully equipped, and the pool is wonderful given the high temperatures in Málaga. Communication is great—all you have to do is send a quick message, and you’ll immediately get lots of tips for great restaurants or day trips. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back again.

We had a wonderful two weeks at Casita Johanna. What great service and such friendly hosts. Everything was provided and well organized. The cottage was fully equipped, beautifully decorated, and had a wonderfully large, luxurious bed. The view from the terrace and pool was absolutely stunning. We’ll definitely be returning to Casita Johanna. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

The Casita had been double-booked, but the team handled it brilliantly and arranged alternative accommodations for us—and what a place it was! Great service, a friendly host, and definitely worth a return visit!

Casita Johanna, what a great place and a beautiful view! Exudes a lot of tranquility. Warm and friendly welcome from both owners. The Casita and around it was cozy, neat, clean and fully equipped. Really very nice! A beautiful garden full of flowers. Nice pool where you can float in if you want to cool off. In the area a lot of beautiful things done and seen. We also received great tips from the owners. What we enjoyed! Definitely come back again! 🤗

It feels like a private tropical resort with a tremendously warm welcome. Alex and Michel have a visible passion for what they do and are also happy to share their experiences and tips about the area. You will find yourself in a colorful (floral) oasis of tranquility. For a few days or a few weeks; definitely recommended to stay via takeaholidayinspain when you are in this region for a carefree vacation!

6 days back arrived in malaga with my best friend to then take a rental car to this beautiful destination, we had a super nice sweet cottage called casita Johanna. Everything was there what you need, a nice shower, a nice bed and also a good working air conditioning that provides cooling but also delicious heat for any cold nights. The living room was also fully equipped where you can cook or just retire on the couch with a TV. We had taken a breakfast which is definitely a must, morning you wake up and you walk out the door and you have a delicious breakfast with ample choice of all delicacies. You get enough so you can save some for lunch. The hosts are such nice sweet caring people. If you have any questions or need anything they are right there for you and help where needed. I have grown to love them! Furthermore, the area was beautiful you do not get bored you can enjoy walking or touring by car and enjoy the scenery. The beach is fifteen minutes drive and well worth it, a beautiful promenade with delicious eateries for little money. All in all it was a very successful vacation and I will definitely come here more often.

We stayed in casita Johanna for a week at the end of May. The view from the mountain is breathtaking. The cottage has everything you need, it is very pleasant to stay there. Very cozy. The welcome was very warm and cordial, and also during the stay Alex and Michel were very helpful and extremely friendly. The pool is great! Highly recommended for a successful vacation in Andalusia! Excellent short stay at Casita Johanna, the pictures do not do it justice, excellent facilities, very peaceful, outstanding views. You will need a car, accessed via a track that takes a few minutes from the main road, you can’t really walk to the facilities, a short drive of 5 mins or so takes you to bars and Resturaunt’s in the local town, or stock up and use the BBQ and enjoy the pool and the sun, very dog friendly our retriever was made most welcome. The Hosts Alex and Michel were brilliant and their wee dog Foxy is a gem. Thanks guys, all the best Colin, Joan and Missy

Fantastic week with Alex and Michel in Casita Johanna, beautiful place where everything is provided. Very hospitable owners who want to help you with everything and have many good tips about the area, restaurants, hiking etc.. Super breakfast every morning, you can even pick fruits from their own garden. Nice pool, we loved it! Tip: from here you can visit the Caminito del Rey and the Alhambra, driving time about 1.5 hours. Tickets do arrange in advance from home!

What did we enjoy again. For the 2nd time we were with you and everything was again top-notch. The breakfast is delicious you really come up short. The tips for restaurants were all exactly as you described. And every day the greeting of Foxy brings a smile on your face.

Through a general advertisement asking for a winter possibility, we got in touch with Alex and Michel who offered us their Casita Johanna. Through a clear and transparent communication and of course a nice attractive price offer we began this adventure full of expectation and enthusiasm. And we really enjoyed everything Andalusia has to offer. But above all, of course, our new home "Casita Johanna" was a TOP choice. A beautiful spacious casita where we lacked nothing. Good cooking facilities, good plumbing, great shower and the beds were just great. Also good NL-sat TV watching on electric adjustable sofa luxury all around. Heating on the sometimes colder evenings could be via electric heating or the extra propane heater placed so wonderfully warm. In the bedroom coolness or heating via the air conditioning. The location of the casita is beautiful. Free and secluded from the main house in a really beautiful garden with stunning views of breathtaking mountain scenery. The pool also has appeal for relaxation and tranquility. A cozy bar and relaxing sunbeds complete the vacation feeling. Top vacation!

The booking for 2024 was already planned because we had enjoyed so much with Alex, Michel and Foxy in May/June this year. Suddenly a week became available in September. Well that chance we did not let go. Immediately arranged everything and there we were again. Again intensely enjoyed the hospitality and the cottage. For us everything was already perfect but Alex and Michel are constantly working to make our stay at Casita Johanna even more enjoyable. The cottage is super clean, there are lovely beds and the new sofa sits perfectly. The view from the property never gets boring and there is still plenty to discover in the neighborhood. Casita Johanna is a beautiful tastefully decorated and very clean cottage equipped with everything you need. There is a beautiful garden with several seating areas and a swimming pool. And then the amazing view ... so beautiful and different every day. The hosts have lovingly and passionately transformed the property into a little paradise. There is much to see and do in the area, for us an ideal combination of rest and activity Oh yes and not forgetting the enthusiastic greetings and hugs from Foxie their dog. Alex and Michel how welcome we felt at the reception and during the stay. We really enjoyed with a big G.

What a wonderful week we had at the Casita! Everything is right here: the warm welcome and the hospitality of the men!👌🏻 Our mini Labradoodle Guus was also very welcome. Foxy, the little dog of Alex and Michel, had to get used to our kissing bouncing ball 😊 but after a day or 2 they were great maatjes❤️ The Casita was cozy, very tastefully decorated and very hygienic, everything down to the last detail. Super comfortable bed, very important for us to come home well rested😃 A washing machine available, also a big plus as far as we are concerned. Both the Casita and the outdoor area was very tasteful and neat. At the pool it was lovely vertoeven☀️Met occasionally a nice tinto de verano/beer and socializing with each other at the pool bar!🍷🍺 And...last but not least: the fantastic breakfast we got every day on our terrace in front of the Casita(this is optional to book, we say DO IT!) even on our last morning at 7.30, partly packed for the road, really great! Thanks Alex, Michel & Foxy, we will gladly come back to you with our dear Guus!

We stayed in this beautiful casita from May 13 to 19. The trip there is already beautiful. Through the mountains, past beautiful villages and finally up the mountain to the casita. The view from the casita is truly magnificent. You look at the many mountains, the winding roads, the white villages and every time you see different things. The casita is very neat and very clean. Smelled very nice and fresh when we arrived. The beds are also great and made sure we woke up rested. The casita is very practical. In the kitchen you will find everything you need. What we really liked was the refrigerator at the bar. There are delicious cold (alcoholic) drinks in here. Great if you, like us, arrive later from a day out or the flight. You can then grab a nice cold drink from the refrigerator. The prices are very decent. You can also buy tasty snacks, sunscreen and laundry detergent. Anyway, you can sit at this bar wonderfully. In the morning we had a delicious breakfast on the terrace where we were very enthusiastically greeted by their sweet dog, Foxy. The sunbeds by the pool are nice and the pool is always very clean. In the pool you again enjoy the fantastic view. In short: we had a fantastic stay! Dear Alex and Michel, also through this way we want to thank you very much for your warm welcome and the pleasant conversations. You have done a fantastic job and we will definitely come back soon!

What a beautiful location. We were allowed to spend our honeymoon with you. With a lovingly made bed as a surprise! The sunrise was different every morning and amazingly beautiful every morning! We opted for the services including breakfast great care and delicious. The casita and pool were super clean, the beds sleep great and the extra service with hospitality and tips for the most beautiful locations were worth it!
