Casa Colonia Sud is a spacious and characterful holiday home for up to 6 people, located in the historic centre of Canillas de Aceituno. Here you'll stay right in the middle of an authentic Andalusian white village, with restaurants, tapas bars, shops and lovely squares just a short walk away.

Behind the characterful front door, you'll find a surprisingly spacious home where traditional Andalusian elements are beautifully combined with modern comfort and a stylish interior.

The holiday home has three comfortable bedrooms and three bathrooms, two of which are en suite. This makes Casa Colonia Sud perfect for families, couples or friends travelling together who also value plenty of privacy.

Next to the living room is the spacious dining room, a cosy central spot in the house with a television and a fireplace for the cooler months.

Between the dining room and the outdoor terrace is the fully equipped kitchen. Here you'll find everything you need to prepare breakfast, lunch or an elaborate dinner during your stay.

A special highlight of Casa Colonia Sud is its three different terraces. On the spacious main terrace, you'll find a comfortable dining area, a gas barbecue and an extra seating area. A wonderful spot to enjoy breakfast outdoors, dine at leisure or simply relax with a good book.

The roof terrace features an inviting lounge area and offers stunning views over the white houses of Canillas de Aceituno and the surrounding mountains.

There's also a third, quietly situated terrace with a comfortable lounge. A lovely place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning sun.

During the warm summer months, you can make use of the large public swimming pool in Canillas de Aceituno for a small fee. This pool is located about 500 metres from the house and also has a separate children's pool and a sunbathing lawn.

Casa Colonia Sud is located right in the centre of Canillas de Aceituno, a charming white mountain village in La Axarquía, east of Málaga. From the house, you can step straight out into narrow streets lined with whitewashed houses, colourful flowers, lovely squares, local shops, restaurants and tapas bars.

Canillas de Aceituno sits on the edge of the Sierra de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama nature reserve, making it a fantastic destination for lovers of hiking, nature and breathtaking mountain scenery.

One of the most popular hikes in the area is the route to El Saltillo. Along the way, you'll enjoy deep gorges, spectacular views and the famous El Saltillo suspension bridge.

The village is also a real treat for lovers of Spanish cuisine. In the various restaurants and tapas bars, you can enjoy traditional Andalusian dishes, tapas and local specialities.

Fancy a day at the seaside? The beaches of Torre del Mar and the Costa del Sol are around a 25-minute drive away. Here you'll find a long promenade, wide sandy beaches, shops and countless restaurants and chiringuitos.

The La Viñuela reservoir is also easily reachable from Canillas de Aceituno. The combination of mountains, white villages, nature and the nearby coast makes this region wonderfully varied.
