Casa Cartarra is a spacious and characterful detached holiday villa for 6 people, perfect for families and groups of friends looking for peace, comfort and privacy in sunny Andalucía. The villa is located in the beautiful region of La Axarquía, in the municipality of Canillas de Aceituno, offering a peaceful setting combined with easy accessibility.

Paved roads take you almost all the way to the house, with only the final 50 metres or so being unpaved. Thanks to its location, you'll enjoy a wonderful view over the mountains and valleys of southern Spain here.

The heart of Casa Cartarra is its generous outdoor space. A large terrace surrounds the private pool, perfect for sunbathing, swimming and relaxing. At the back of the charming garden you'll find a large covered area with an outdoor kitchen and a comfortable lounge corner, a wonderful spot for long summer evenings, cosy dinners and drinks with family or friends.

Inside, the villa offers plenty of comfort. There are three spacious bedrooms, all equipped with air conditioning. The first bedroom has a comfortable double bed measuring 180 x 220 cm, the second bedroom features two single beds of 90 x 200 cm, and the third bedroom is furnished with a double bed of 180 x 200 cm.

Casa Cartarra also has three complete bathrooms with shower and toilet. One of the bathrooms also features a bathtub. The air conditioning in the villa can both cool and heat, making the house comfortable outside the summer months as well.

The bright and spacious living room has comfortable sofas and a cosy seating area. Adjoining it, you'll find the fully equipped kitchen with an American-style fridge-freezer with ice maker, a 5-ring induction hob, two ovens, a microwave and a Dolce Gusto coffee machine.

Relaxation and entertainment haven't been forgotten either. The villa has various board games, a table tennis table and a dartboard.

Charging an electric car is not permitted at Casa Cartarra.

Groups of young people under the age of 21 are not allowed.

Discover La Axarquía: nature, culture and beach within easy reach

Casa Cartarra is situated in a great spot for anyone wanting to combine peace and quiet with beach, nature and authentic Andalucía. Within about 7 minutes' drive you'll reach the nearest amenities, including a supermarket, butcher and bakery.

For a day by the sea, it's about a 15-minute drive to Torre del Mar. This lively seaside town on the Costa del Sol boasts a long sandy beach, a lovely promenade and plenty of restaurants, terraces and chiringuitos. A wonderful place to swim, dine out or simply stroll along the seafront.

The white mountain village of Canillas de Aceituno is about a 10-minute drive away. Here you'll still find genuine Andalusian charm, with narrow streets, atmospheric squares and local restaurants where you can enjoy tapas and traditional regional dishes.

Nature lovers are also well catered for here. La Axarquía is known for its impressive mountain landscapes, valleys, olive groves and beautiful hiking trails. A well-known highlight is El Saltillo, with its spectacular suspension bridge and lovely views over the surrounding area.

The La Viñuela reservoir is also about a 7-minute drive away. The area around the lake is perfect for a peaceful walk, bike ride, drive or picnic with views over the water and the surrounding mountains.

La Axarquía is also home to many charming white villages and historic towns well worth a visit. This means you can easily alternate between nature, culture, the beach and relaxing at the villa during your stay.

Málaga-Costa del Sol airport is about a 40-minute drive away. Thanks to this central location, Casa Cartarra is an excellent base for discovering both inland Andalucía and the Costa del Sol coast.
